I designed both a horozontal and a vertical version of this banner. That way, one has the choice of having one for on a table and/or one to hang on the wall (or use as a scarf :P )
Both of these use the exact same number of beads, and both use a large number of colours (but not as much as the Placemat. This is obviously because it contains parts of (from left/top to right/bottom) Mother Brain, Ridley, Crocomire Hunter, Samus, Kabutroid, and Kraid. Each character was painstakingly manoevered to a position where (in my opinion) they look best inside their respective letter, and which letter they'd look best inside.
The banners are probably the next step for someone to create after they've made their fill of coasters and hotplates. It's not nearly as large as the Curtain or Placemat, but is still large enough to look relatively impressive.
