It's the head of Mini-Boss Hideout 2, located in Norfair. It's primary attack is the relatively complicated process of jumping up and down and breathing fire... if it helps, it's purple fire, which as we all well know, hurts like a bitch. It's the original life form of the planet Zebes and is controlled by the Mother Brain.

Ridley's appearance into this realm was somewhat sudden and unexpected, when Samus and Kraid found him to be running a bar... seemingly the ONLY bar on Zebeth. It's safely assumed that while both Samus and Kraid go there, other various enemies frequent the bar at safer times... like when they're not there. Ridley has definitely calmed down and seems less violent since he left Zebes. It seems the highlights of his job come during special events, such as major hit-counter accomplishments or rare occurances. At this time, he offers out his entire bar's supply of alcohol to be consumed in a single sitting. As of late, Ridley had been killed by Geruta, respawned on ZR-388, got BACK onto Zebeth, and is once again running the bar. This is quite difficult however, since Kabutroid has sealed off his booze supply room recently. He has at least however gotten back seeds from his previous crops, and waits for the Zebethian winter to end so that he can plant and sow them again.
